Our annual Scholastic Book Fair begins Monday. The book fair i open M-Th 7am-9am and 1pm-2pm, Friday 7am-12noon. The Book Fair will also be open during the STEAM Fair Wednesday afternoon from 3pm-5pm.

Children currently enrolled in the Head Start Program must be registered at their receiving school for kindergarten. Please note, if your child is currently enrolled in the Head Start Program- DO NOT -complete the online registration process. Contact the school you are zoned for to register in person.

We will celebrate “Read Across America” week March 2nd-6th. During the week, we will be reading many Dr. Seuss books and doing fun activities! As part of our celebration, we will have “dress up” days for the week. The “dress up” days are as follows:

Parents of 4 Year Old classrooms in the Head Start Program are receiving Strong Start Literacy Family Reading Challenge packets during home visits. Once your family completes the challenge, please be sure to complete the Post-Activity Survey. Each family that completes the Post-Activity Survey will receive an additional book for their home library.

DAD TAG is a monthly day of volunteering. We encourage all dads to join us for at least one day of volunteering every school year. To participate, you must have an approved volunteer application for the 2025-26 school year. We are moving this month's day to the 18th due to scheduling conflicts. We meet at the school at 8 a.m. and typically complete a project on campus. We are generally done by 10:30 a.m.

RSVPs for next Friday's Parent Training and Self-Care Make & Take are due tomorrow. Flyers went home in your child's take home folder on Monday.

Annual school pictures were moved from the Fall to February this year due to cafeteria renovations. Our school picture day will be Wednesday, February 4. Portrait Package envelopes went home today in your child's take home folder. If you choose to purchase a package, be sure to return the envelope with payment enclosed to your child's teacher no later than sign in on Wednesday, February 4.

The Santa Rosa County District Schools Head Start Program will begin accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year starting January 26, 2026.
