It takes a village… Our GBE summer crew has been working very hard to prepare our school for the arrival of our 2025–2026 GBE students! We celebrated them recently with a summer crew lunch catered by Taco Mama! A huge thank you to our 12 month folks, ABM, custodial for the amazing updates and deep cleaning! Our transportation team runs routes and makes sure the buses are running smoothly! We truly value your work behind the scenes to ensure GBE students , families, and teachers have everything they need for a successful school year!

Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday!! From August 1 to August 31, 2025, take advantage of tax-free shopping on learning aids, school supplies, clothing, and computers within certain price limits.
Our generous GBE community embraces KINDNESS by asking how they can support students, families, teachers, and staff who may need assistance with school supplies, field trips, or other school-related expenses.
In lieu of donating items that may or may not be needed, the most effective way to help is by making a donation via MySchoolBucks. Click on the QR Code for “Donate to GBE” or https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/prdembd?ref=ZZHW3OJWSY0456G_ZZ67MVZ8RDYSBTG or by checks payable to "GBE."
All donated funds are thoughtfully used to support students, families, teachers, and staff throughout the year.

New Cell Phone Policy at GBE and all K-8 schools in Florida. Phones, smart watches and electronic devices must be off and not visible during the school day. At GBE, phones and electronic devices are not allowed to be seen or on from 7:50am or when students enter the building, whichever comes first, until dismissal at 2:29pm.

Do you wish to be a volunteer at GBE (or other schools) for the 2025-2026 school year? Guess what? SRCDS is now accepting Level 1 Volunteer applications so you can check that off your list now!

Level 1 Volunteer Applications are being accepted for NEXT YEAR! Yep, that’s right, you can knock this out now instead of rushing to get it done at the beginning of the year!
The application is the same as last year. It’s available on the district website

Fill out all pages of the form.
Save it.

If you wish to become a Level 2 volunteer you must first be a board approved Level 1 volunteer. Level 2 applications must be picked up from the school site.
