Minimum requirements for acceptance to all programs include one of the following: high school diploma, GED a home-study certificate or transcript from a home-student program that is recognized by the student's home state. (Please note that admission requirements may vary for certain programs due to certification and licensing regulations.)

Students with foreign transcripts must be translated/evaluated by an approved outside agency. A translation of foreign transcript alone is not sufficient and must be evaluated and certified as being the equivalent education in the United States.

Adult students may choose to attend full-time or part-time with the exception of Licensed Practical Nursing and Massage Therapy students, which are full-time only. Please refer to each program page for specific enrollment.

Locklin Technical College is part of the Santa Rosa County School District and is accredited by The Council on Occupational Education.

Steps to Enroll
1. Complete an Application Form. NOTE: Applicants must provide documentation showing 12 months of Florida residency to be eligible for in-state tution rates. *Out of state tution and fees are considerably higher.

2. Register for Post-Sedoncary Readiness (PSR) testing or meet the exemption requirements. Applicants must pre-register and pay the $20.00 fee for the test in person at least 24 hours in advance. Applicants must provide a valid photo I.D. for scheduling purposes and on the day of testing. PSR test must be attempted within the first 6-weeks of enrollment.

3. Complete the FAFSA application (include Radford M. Locklin Technical College’s school code number 017198) at www.studentaid.ed.gov. Applicants will either transfer IRS information directly online, or provide an official Tax Return Transcript. Students should allow 5 business days after submitting the application before contacting the Financial Aid office. Self-pay students do not have to complete this step.


5. All official transcripts need to be submitted before registration is completed.

6. Students age 21 and below must provide proof of required immunizations before registration as required by Fl. Admin Code 64D-3.046 Immunization Requirements: Public and Nonpublic Schools, Grades Preschool, Kindergarten Through 12, and Adult Education Classes. Visit Student Services for more information.

7. Complete Program Registration Form - there is a $35.00 non-refundable registration fee. All tuition and program fees are due 2 weeks prior to first class. *Please see the current Annual Cost of Attendance for specific program tuition, fees and additional expenses.

At Locklin Tech, we keep tuition fees, supply costs and book expenses to a minimum. Some courses require uniforms, tools, supplies, equipment, textbooks and insurance. Many of these required items are "tools-of-the-trade" and will be used when you begin your career. Industry Certification testing expenses vary per program. Post-secondary adult students may attend full-time or part-time with the exception of Licensed Practical Nursing students. Secondary students attend Locklin Tech part-time in conjunction with their home high school.

Post-Secondary Readiness (PSR) Test
Students who do not meet eligible exemptions will be required to take the Post-Secondary Readiness test (PSR) within the first six-weeks of enrollment. For inquiries regarding PSR, testing fees, or to schedule testing, please contact Cathy Simmons at 850.983.5700 x209.

Proof of Residency
Students enrolling in a Florida post-secondary institution must provide two forms of  documentation that show proof of residency for at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to their enrollment.  Examples of documents that can be used include the following:  Florida voter’s registration, Florida driver’s license, Florida identification card,  Florida homestead exemption, Florida occupational license, or a transcript from a Florida school (showing enrollment in the 12-consecuritve months immediately prior to enrollment). Non-resident potential students should contact Student Services staff for more information.
