PBLLocklin Technical Center's Business Department offers a combined club, The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) for secondary students and Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) for post secondary students. Students from all of the Business Education classes are encouraged to participate. Future Business Leaders of America and Phi Beta Lambda—Florida Chapters are non-profit, local, district, state and nationally affiliated organizations for students participating in business education programs. Our purpose is to provide, as a part of the instructional program, additional opportunities for students in business education to develop vocational and career supportive competencies, leadership development, and to promote civic and personal responsibility. During the school year, the members of FBLA/PBL participate in a variety of events. Fund-raisers are held to make money for the club and for charity. From this money, financial donations are made to the United Way of Santa Rosa County and the American Cancer Society. Donations of money, food, clothing and household wares may be made to fellow members when needed. Contact the Mrs. Knight, club sponsor, for more information. |
