Expenses/Tuition
At Locklin tech, we keep tuition fees, supply costs and book expenses to a minimum. Some courses require uniforms, tools, supplies, equipment, textbooks and insurance. Many of these required items are "tools-of-the-trade" and will be used when you begin your career. Industry Certification testing expenses vary per program. Fee and expense breakdowns for specific programs are available upon request.

Tuition for the 2011-2012 School Year: Postsecondary students may attend full-time (450 hours per semester) or part-time (225 hours per semester) with the exception of Licensed Practical Nursing and Pharmacy Technician students. Secondary students attend Locklin Tech part-time in conjunction with their home high school.

Non-Refundable Application Fee - $5.00

TABE Test (Test of Adult Basic Education)
When enrolling in a technical program, you must take the TABE test. There is a $10.00 testing fee and a photo ID will be required at the time of testing. Contact Lin Hamel at 983-5700 x209 to register for the Test of Adult Basic Education.

Proof of Residency
Students enrolling in a Florida post-secondary institution must provide two forms of documentation that show proof of residency for at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to their enrollment. Examples of documents that can be used include the following: Florida voter’s registration, Florida driver’s license, Florida identification card, Florida homestead exemption, Florida occupational license, or a transcript from a Florida school. Non-resident potential students should contact Student Services staff for more information.

*Any person desiring to seek gainful employment or upgrading in an occupation for which training is offered at Locklin Tech, who is at least 16 years old and has the ability to benefit from the training offered is eligible for admission provided they are physically, mentally and emotionally able to perform required class duties. High school juniors and seniors (and in some cases, sophomores) may attend Locklin Tech classes with permission of their home school. Registration is open whenever space is available.
